IMMOLATION
Immolation uses tissue culture and high-end microscopy to create a different way of visualizing the cost of the illegal use of incendiary weapons by the United States in the Middle East and elsewhere. In addition to microscopic imagery, Critical Art Ensemble
(CAE) incorporates war footage where used fire bombs against civilian targets have been used as a strategic choice to terrorizing entire populations. The goal of
Immolation is to provide a different way of imaging the human costs of these war crimes, other than the barrage of media imagery to which we have become so desensitized.
